Chopped Challenge, Cake, and May Rain!

Well, we just decided to head to Snowflake this week instead of in 2 and a half weeks from now so I decided to do a quick update. The other night when the kids were in bed Porter and I did a chopped challenge! It was so fun. We had to use this spicy coconut sauce to make a dessert in 20 minutes. My picture is the one above (sure you could tell :) ) j/k Both were decent but Porter even admitted mine was probably better and our taste tester Mallory was so excited to taste it all the next morning and picked mine! haha. It was fun though.

Our friend Morgan had a baby shower this past Sunday. I was in charge of the rubber ducky themed cupcakes and cake... .here they are. We just love Morgan and can't wait for their sweet baby Hunter to arrive... her due date is on Mallory's b-day in June which could not be more fitting since Mallory and Morgan have such a close connection. We are going to miss everyone sooooo much this summer!

It was such a beautiful shower. Everyone did a great job!

The girls at the shower. They were so good... until the last 30 minutes at least. I love my little ladies.
All of the hostesses and the Momma to be :)
Yesterday it rained... just a drizzle but much needed. Porter and I took the girls on a run in the jogger in the rain and they loved it. After we were all wet so I let them play in the rain.... So much fun!

Today was our last day of Joy School. I taught it here and the kids were so good. We are going to miss all these kiddos. Now am finally winding down on our craziness and can start packing. We leave in 2 days!

Oh, and Malli had her last soccer game Saturday. She was so cute. She is also going to have a sleepover with her best friend, Brynlee tomorrow and can't wait. She keeps us busy!

Fun in the sun

Well, I have not blogged since October but I don't know if I have the time or energy to go back and document the past few months so I will just jump to what we have been up to lately.
This week has been so much fun that it has been exhausting, but in a good way. We have really enjoyed the warm, but not too unbearably warm, weather with lots of swimming with friends, popsicles, soccer games, trampoline fun, and mud kitchen.
A few months ago some of our friends invited us to our first "tea party" it was so much fun we decided to make it a tradition. Today was our turn to host the tea party for Mallory and 3 of her friends and the I think us Mom's had just as much fun as the kids (minus the mud). We had a lunch with tea "punch" and lots of fun outdoors. Here are some pictures of the past few days. The girls are at such a good age for this kind of stuff now... I love that Kaisley can walk and actually participate too now.
Mallory and Kaisley before her soccer game. She is so cute out there on the field. Doesn't do much but run aimlessly but we love it.
 Go number 12!
General Conference weekend we went outside to get some fresh air between sessions and came up with this mud kitchen from an old work bench we found in the backyard. Mallory wanted to paint it and we took out old kitchen "stuff" and the girls love it!
 Buddies
 Sun bathing babe
 Loving me some juice :)
Our tea party was not as fancy as last time... it was down right dirty! The loved playing in the mud, swimming, and jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler after having their "tea".
 Cute bumbum Malli! :)
They made personal pizzas and had lots of other fun sides and treats with their tiny tea cups of juice.
Porter and Mallory sleeping on the trampoline last night. What a good Dad :)

The other day we had an awesome play date at our friends place. Thanks Cassie for such a fun swim party and lunch. Mallory had a great time, and so did Kais and I!
I love all of these pics Cassie took. Summer at its best! (oh wait, it is still spring)

Happily Ever After

Today I had fun looking through old engagement and wedding pictures. So much fun...
4 weeks after Porter returned home from Chile we were engaged!
And married 4 weeks after that. Such a fun and exciting time!

Okay, now on to "normal" blogging. Tomorrow I will get back to blogging about our day to day happenings... aka our two little girls. Just fun to remember where it all started and see how things have changed.... For the better though right? :)

From the start ... well sort of

Since blogger is making me pay to upload pics to my old blog I decided to start a new blog. On this blog I thought I would start from the beginning of our journey... well sort of. I have had a crush on Porter for far to long to document all of those years but I did find a few pictures of when we were dating and I thought that would be a great way to start off ...

 Homecoming 2002
 Morp ( I think ) 2002
High School Graduation 2003 (10 years! I can't believe it!)
Then after a long 2 year mission to Chile we meet again! First hand shake at the airport! He was such a good boy, he didn't even give me a hug...following those rules... ha...

Next post will include what happened next
